Alaska has a rich history of Architecture which is well documented by the Historic American Building Survey (HABS), a program run through the National Park Service. Each year hundreds of Architecture and History students are sent to various sites around the country to put their education to work documenting America's built environment. The HABS projects are one of the many resources William Merriman Architects references when we begin the design of a new project here in Alaska.
